The Mars colonization plan is divided into four stages: initial landing on Mars-exploration of Mars & site selection of the base-construction of a Mars base-opening of the Mars aerospace transit station and Mars travel base.
The Mars Dandelion project is aimed at stage2 of the Mars colonization project. Humans need to find land suitable for bacterial growth and crop planting, and build a base there. So the Mars dandelion project was launched in order to travel and spread seeds on the Martian land like dandelions.

The design concept is to carry seeds by the rover, plant experimental seedlings on different lands, and select places where plants grow better for large-scale planting, and build a base here.
