With the continuous exploitation of geotechnical ore resources, the demand for earthmoving machinery products also continues to grow rapidly. In response to the specific domestic market demand, a model designed on the basis of road dump trucks and mining dump trucks came into being, namely wide-body dump trucks. The subject comes from the school-enterprise cooperation project between Sany Heavy Equipment and Hunan University.
Following the technological development of the times, the company plans to carry out new design and development on the basis of the previous generation, and is committed to creating a new generation of digital, intelligent and humanized products. The team comprehensively considers various factors such as market, users, brands and trends to realize the design innovation of exterior modeling and interior space.
Based on the design case of the new wide-body dump truck project of Sany heavy SKT105S, and the double drill model as the theoretical basis, the paper verifies the feasibility of divergence and convergence thinking in design practice.
The double drill model is divided into six stages: exploration, definition, development, review, adjustment and delivery to fit the design practice, and the development and review stages are cycled to complete the best solution. In practice, the theory is applied to clarify the design orientation, improve the design quality, and finally realize the product listing, verify the application value of the theory, and provide effective reference for the field of engineering machinery industrial design.
