The first chapter of "Industrial Product Hand-painted and Innovative Design Expression" combines the interpretation of design hand-painted by my design project in my work. Industrial design hand-drawing is the initial stage in the process of industrial design and development. Its main expressions are divided into four categories: conceptual sketch, understanding sketch, structural sketch and final effect sketch. Let's take a wireless doorbell I once designed and a design sketch as an example to introduce it to you.

[Conceptual sketch] also known as conceptual sketch, refers to the record of the initial inspiration and ideas during the brainstorming process of the designer at the beginning of the design.

In the design process, we often use bionic design to find the intention map, draw the shape of petals, and extract the detailed texture.

At this stage, the designer does not need to consider the product's perspective relationship, light and dark relationship, details, and the tools used, etc., but mainly uses the line draft to deduce the large size of the product. Generate a large number of ideas through quantity and quality, continuously deliberate and deform, and select solutions that can continue to deepen. [Understanding Sketch] is a further deepening of the conceptual sketch, mainly to further optimize the selected sketch scheme. It can be simply colored, and the explanatory text can be given, different perspectives can be refined, and the details of the product can be depicted, which is convenient for designers Communication between people and reduce errors in design understanding.

[Structural sketch] Also known as the plan sketch, the main purpose is to express the characteristics of the product, the structure, and the combination of components, so that the designer and the structural engineer can study and discuss the realizability of the product. Accurate perspective, reflecting the main structural lines, parting lines, and assembly methods of the form, can be understood as product disassembly drawings or explosion drawings. [Final Effect Sketch] is an interpretation of the sketch stage of the scheme, which is mainly a form of expression used by designers to select and screen between schemes. The final decision is made by clarifying the design characteristics with the company's decision makers and customers. With the advancement of computer technology and the popularization of computer-aided industrial design, the expression of the final renderings is not limited to hand-painted expressions.
