In the summer of 2019, a design was inserted in the middle of the design period of power tools. The design time was about a month. The design process was tortuous, and my own ideas were exhausted. The design result was also a special failure and was not selected. It was a relatively small twist in the early stage. (Because the company project is encrypted and cannot be taken out, only screenshots are taken.)

Conceptual Design of First Draft
Considering that the baby wants to protect the child, the two sides of the seat are deliberately raised to protect the child. The red plastic part at the bottom is the folded handle. After the design was completed, it was found that the seat occupied too much packaging space, which affected the packaging area. The packaging area was too large and affected the efficiency of shipping, so it was passed off. It became an airplane draft, but the styling direction was continued.

Second, design
In order to solve the problem of packaging area and shipping efficiency, the seat is designed to be foldable to reduce the packaging area. The folding handle also became a cloth handle. The bottom is also designed for children to settle better and the seat becomes a foldable unit of the foot assembly (the customer and the boss thought it was not on the market at that time). But in the end, it was abandoned because of poor design innovation and poor appearance.

In the design, it is very difficult to model the irregular shape of cloth, and there are complicated folding interference problems. Brain power cannot calculate these situations at all. During the simulation of folding, a lot of interference was encountered. The height of the seat was raised and lowered, and the customer repeatedly urged the manuscript to revise the manuscript. Finally, the enthusiasm was wiped out and completely abandoned. Six months after the completion of this project, I learned that this project failed and was not selected and accepted.

The step of product design hand drawing is to hand draw roughly first. Then pour in the digital model.
After importing the digital model, copy paper will be printed and hand-painted according to the digital model.
After the first hand-painted painting, model again. After printing.
After printing, follow the hand-painted copy for the first time, and then repeat again, hand-painted while modeling interlaced with each other.
