The project members classified Yichang's rich resources, combed and integrated them into four aspects: agriculture, nature, humanities and science and technology, and then comprehensively considered the specificity, feasibility and acceptance respectively. Finally, the IP image prototype of Yichang city was determined as "Zigui navel orange", "Yangtze River finless porpoise", "Dragon Boat Festival zongzi" and "water conservancy and electric energy".

Market research
Through in-depth interviews with entrepreneurs, town and street leaders, local people and other different user groups, as well as through scenic spots, living areas, maker centers and other positioning of the whole city in the field of production city humanities character and characteristics of research and demonstration.
