MACAO MUSIC FESTIVAL

Macau International Music Festival (MIMF) is an annual cultural event hosted by the Macau Cultural Bureau. Every year, the performing groups of the Macau International Music Festival come from different places around the world, bringing a wide variety of performances such as opera, symphony, jazz, solo and even rock music to music fans. This year's theme is "live" in the present and "happy" in the present. We believe that music is like an air-like cyclone in life, which drives emotions to fly in the heart; the flow of music forms space, and space becomes emotional tension. Through points and lines, we show that different musical elements are looming and scattered in different places in our lives. The theme of this year's music festival is "doing music in time", which means grasping the present and feeling the joy and satisfaction of our hearts brought by music together. In terms of programming, from the relaxed and humorous comedy opera, the majestic national music giant, to the passionate Latin music of life and the romantic Schumann special concert, the music festival has a rich and diverse background. To commemorate the 170th anniversary of the death of the music giant Donnizetti, we opened the curtain of this festival with his two-act comedy opera "Love Elixir". This was the work with the highest performance rate that year, and the limelight was no different. The one-act opera "Mr. Brucino", which commemorates the 150th anniversary of Rossini's death, makes the audience see the master's humor and wisdom. The Salzburg Chamber Orchestra from Mozart's hometown brings the purest Viennese classical music tone; one of the world's top ten orchestras, the German Dresden National Orchestra with a history of more than 400 years, will perform the most authentic German sound.
