Rural passenger transport is an important part of the work to solve the "three rural" issues, and it is a basic service for the country to promote rural development. The characteristics of rural travel and population structure are quite different from those of cities, and the traditional urban passenger transport mode is difficult to develop sustainably in rural areas. This project takes the development of passenger, freight and mail integration as the starting point, adopts the line operation mode of demand-responsive bus, and solves the dilemma of rural passenger transport. On-the-spot investigation and interview of a village and town in Wanzhou District of Chongqing City, the problems existing in the current "town-village" last kilometer passenger transport and the travel habits of the rural population are obtained to guide the design practice. Finally, the last kilometer passenger transport system suitable for the western mountainous rural environment is built, and the corresponding modular passenger car is designed, with a view to the rapid development of rural passenger transport in the western mountainous areas.
