For many years, ultrasonic barking stopper has been a controversial product. Due to the different varieties, body shapes, physique and excitement of pet objects, the biofeedback to ultrasonic is very different, so it is difficult for this category to obtain a consistent reputation in the hearts of users. This determines that product investment needs to stick to the cost defense line and be as close to the aesthetics of the mainstream young market as possible without adding additional decorative materials, and explore as many selling points as possible.

For this reason, before the start of ID design, we analyzed the hardware cost and considered with customers to expand the main function (ultrasonic) that was originally relatively single on the market. In the case of a weak cost increase, we added an auxiliary function (sound), that is, with a lower cost investment, in exchange for one more selling point, so that the product has more advantages in the competition of the same category, instead of simply making innovations in the appearance dimension.

It is often within the reach of designers to enhance product competitiveness from multiple dimensions.
