Solid wood flooring is a floor decoration material formed by drying and processing natural wood. Also known as log floor, it is a floor directly processed from solid wood. It has the texture of natural growth of wood, is a bad conductor of heat, can play the role of warm in winter and cool in summer, comfortable feet, and safe to use. It is an ideal material for floor decoration such as bedrooms, living rooms, and study rooms.
Common timber species
The wood tree species used for solid wood flooring require beautiful texture, moderate softness and hardness of the material, and good dimensional stability and processability. Commonly used solid wood flooring tree species are stipulated in the national standard "GB/T15036.1-2001": Betula platyphylla, Betula platyphylla, Fraxinus mandshurica, Dagruta, Malay Gagruta, Cyclobalanopsis, Xiaoye Green, White Quercus, Red Quercus, Bitter Quercus, Quercus, Beech, Beech, Teak, Neem.
Material classification
Solid wood flooring due to different materials, its hardness, natural color and texture are also different, there are the following categories
Medium solid wood flooring materials: teak (precious, origin Myanmar), eggplant (pineapple), fragrant tea cornel (rutaceae).
Soft solid wood flooring materials: Fraxinus mandshurica, birch.
Light-colored solid wood flooring materials: Jiafeng (precious, North America), Cyclobalanopsis (beech), birch.
Intermediate color solid wood flooring materials: red oak (origin in North America), Yahua pear (origin in Africa), quercus oak (oak), stachyx wood (golden sandalwood, origin board in South America).
Dark solid wood flooring materials: balsam pigeon bean (red sandalwood, origin board Paraguay), Rapacho (red sandalwood, origin Paraguay), teak (origin Myanmar), tree ginseng (jade sandalwood, origin board South America), walnut (origin board North America), chicken wing wood (origin Africa), purple heart wood (sour branch, origin board Southeast Asia), eggplant, fragrant two-winged bean, wooden pod bean.
Coarse grain solid wood flooring materials: teak, Quercus Quercus (Quercus), Gamton, Fraxinus mandshurica.
Fine grain solid wood flooring materials: water Cyclobalanopsis, birch.
Key Points of Laying
(1) The floor shall be laid at the later stage of construction and shall not be cross-constructed. Grind and paint as soon as possible after laying. So as not to stain the floor or deform with damp.
(2) Before laying, the floor should be unpacked and stacked on the laying site for 1~2 days to adapt to the environment so as to avoid expansion and contraction deformation after laying.
(3) Damp-proof measures should be taken for laying, especially in wet occasions such as the bottom layer. Moisture-proof measures include applying moisture-proof paint, laying moisture-proof film, using bedding, etc.
(4) The keel should be flat and firm, and cement reinforcement should not be used. It is better to use expansion bolts, Meigu nails, etc.
(5) The keel should be made of larch, Liu An and other wood with strong nail grip. The moisture content of the keel or wool floor should be close to that of the floor. The keel spacing should not be too large, generally not more than 40cm. Both ends of the floor should be placed on the keel, not empty, and nails must be nailed on each keel. Do not use water-based glue
(6) The floor should not be laid too tightly, enough expansion joints (0.5~1.2cm) should be left around, and should not be laid too wide. In case of wider occasions, it should be separated and cut off, and then the copper bar should be pressed for transition.
(7) Floor and hall, toilet, kitchen and other stone ground junction should be thoroughly isolated and moisture-proof measures.
(8) The color difference of the floor is inevitable. If there is a higher requirement for color difference, it can be sorted in advance and a gradual transition method can be adopted to reduce the visual mutation.
(9) Do not rinse with water during use, avoid long-term sun exposure, continuous direct blowing of the air conditioner, prevent rain at the window, and avoid friction between hard objects. In order to protect the floor, the paint surface can be waxed (from the perspective of protecting the floor, waxing is better than painting).
Advantages
Sound insulation
Solid wood floor material is hard, meticulous wood fiber structure, low thermal conductivity, sound and heat blocking effect, better than cement, ceramic tile and steel. Therefore, the wood floor has the functions of sound absorption, sound insulation, reducing sound pressure, shortening residual sound time, and reducing noise pollution.
Adjust humidity
The wood characteristics of solid wood flooring are that the climate is dry and the moisture inside the wood is released; the climate is humid, and the wood will absorb moisture in the air. The wood floor achieves the effect of adjusting the temperature and humidity of the room by absorbing and releasing moisture.
Warm in winter and cool in summer
The thermal conductivity coefficient of wood is small, and it has the effect of warming in winter and cooling in summer (the heat preservation effect is very good). In winter, the surface temperature of solid wood floor is 8 ℃ ~ 10 ℃ higher than that of ceramic tile, and people walk on wood floor without cold feeling. In summer, the room temperature of solid wood floor is 2 ℃ ~ 3 ℃ lower than that of the room where ceramic tiles are laid.
Green harmless
The wood for solid wood flooring is taken from the virgin forest and is painted with non-volatile wear-resistant paint. It is green and harmless from the material type to the paint surface, unlike the radiation of ceramic tiles and the formaldehyde of reinforced flooring. It is a natural green and harmless ground building material.
Good for people
The solid wood floor has a natural texture and fragrant smell, which makes people feel as if they are in the forest, fully feel the breath of nature, and can also release negative ions that are beneficial to the human body.
In addition to absorbing ultraviolet rays, solid wood flooring makes people feel comfortable and indirectly prevents myopia.
The wood floor also has the characteristics of no condensation and no mold, which can avoid the reproduction of mites and reduce the generation of asthma diseases, nose and skin allergies. At the same time, the wood floor does not contain insects and other microorganisms (after high temperature and high pressure has killed the wood Insects and pupae) avoid the harm of microorganisms.
The wood floor is moderately soft and hard, rough and slippery, which can play a buffering role and avoid the risk of falling injuries to the elderly and children.
The wood floor has moderate elasticity, which can ease the weight load of feet and has the effect of eliminating fatigue. Especially the antique floor plays a role in foot massage, dredging meridians and prolonging life.
Gorgeous and noble
Solid wood flooring is taken from high-grade hardwood materials. The wood grain on the panel is beautiful, the decoration is elegant and noble, the texture is thick and warm, the color is gorgeous and rich, the fashion taste is very noble and elegant, the visual effect is very good, the sense is strong, the wood floor looks not monotonous, the color is warm, especially when the body is tired, it can make the body and mind happy, and is the preferred floor material for middle.
Durable
The vast majority of solid wood flooring, hard and dense materials, strong anti-decay and moth resistance, normal use, life can be as long as decades or even hundreds of years.
Disadvantages
Difficult maintenance
Solid wood flooring has higher requirements for paving. Once the paving is not good, it will cause a series of problems, such as noise. If the indoor environment is too humid or dry, the solid wood floor is prone to arching, warping or deformation. Wax and oil frequently after paving, otherwise the luster on the floor surface will soon disappear. (Of course, with the advancement of science and technology, many floors without waxing have been introduced)
High price
Solid wood flooring has always been kept at a high price, with the price above 200 yuan/square meter. Families with tight budgets have to weigh it.
Poor stability
If the indoor environment is too humid or dry, the solid wood floor is prone to arching, warping or deformation.
Low cost performance
The market competitiveness of solid wood flooring is not as good as other types of wood flooring, especially in terms of stability and wear resistance, there is a big gap with multi-layer composite flooring.
Disrupting the real with the fake
For ordinary consumers, it is impossible to identify the authenticity of wood. The processed floor is even more difficult for consumers to identify wood species. Therefore, in order to make huge profits, some illegal businesses use cheaper wood species as precious wood species, such as "gray wood lotus" as "teak".
A mixture of good and bad people
There are thousands of floor brands in our country. Consumers should first look at their trademark registration certificate when purchasing floors. If the brand is foreign, they should have a foreign trademark registration certificate.
Many floor dealers hang signs of some well-known floor brands, but sell many miscellaneous brand products. It is reported that the price of well-known brands is transparent and easy to attract customers, while selling miscellaneous brands is to seek higher profits.
Three no products
When purchasing wood floors, consumers should pay attention to whether there is a factory name, address, telephone number and product implementation standards on the product packaging. If there is no "three no products", they should not buy blindly.
