Our studio (Maozhi) decided to start developing some products about "desktop storage series design and surrounding" this year.
The reason is that the studio partners are usually interested in storage. In addition, I bought several monitor booster racks a long time ago, ranging from tens of dollars of plates to hundreds of dollars of pure solid wood. However, after using them for a few months, the middle shelf became bent and the quality control was really poor. As a designer, I also feel that I can make some changes within my ability, so our studio also sprouted the idea of desktop storage products.
At the same time, we are also constantly pursuing quality and design. To give a small example, we currently use TIGER plastic powder spray on the surface of the products we are selling, which is also the first in the industry, instead of using paint spray technology to control the cost. Of course, the touch feeling is not comparable to that of paint spray, and we strive to present the best products to users. The shelf has been used for ten years without deformation, so we have adopted sheet metal, and the converted cost is higher than that of pure solid wood. The purpose is also to give users a good experience in the later period.
Sometimes we are also thinking about how to define "real cost performance" for most users. In fact, time is the best answer. The real cost performance is only worth today's choice every day after being used! Haha, this is not Amway.
