While there is a worldwide effort to promote bicycle usage, cyclists are constantly exposed to risks when sharing the road with other means of transportation. Rayo is an effort to provide safety to cyclists riding in the cluttered environments of the modern city, by integrating advanced sensor technology into an elegant design. Three ultra-bright LEDs provide sufficient light to be visible among automobiles and the optics have been designed such that the rider can be seen 180 degrees from behind. The sleek and simple design of Rayo makes it appealing to both conventional bicycle geometry and also emerging electric bikes.
