Complete system design for a B‑mode ultrasound device, delivered to medical equipment client Yunshi (YUNSHIKEJI).
Ultrasound doctors continuously examine dozens of hundreds of patients every day and repeat operations in non-physiological positions for a long time-a global meta-analysis in 2024 (13916 sonographers) shows a 75.8 percent prevalence rate of musculoskeletal disorders. However, the industry has consistently focused on image parameters, while the user interface and working posture that physicians interact with most frequently have long been overlooked.
The project turns "human accommodation machine" into "machine accommodation person": taking the extreme body shape of 5% to 95% male as the design benchmark (cross-reference of multiple sets of anthropometric data such as GB10000-88, US military TR-96-036, DINBelg, etc.), first record the complete movement chain checked by the doctor, so that each key dimension of trackball position, panel depth and screen inclination angle corresponds to one anthropometric data; the wooden frame Mock-up allows users of different body types to measure, and the measured values are backfilled in design. The final deliverable comprises a comprehensive solution, from user research and human factors data definition to panel layout design and styling aligned with the PI guidelines.
