With the outbreak of the global epidemic, fear, loneliness and sadness have had a serious impact on the mental health of people all over the world. In such an environment, every temperature measurement is like a trial, and the emotional connection between people becomes more difficult. We hope to improve this situation through design.

By constantly simulating the actual temperature measurement scene, we are aware of an unconscious psychological behavior of the subject, that is, "will steal the temperature display screen, a mood that wants to know their current body temperature". Therefore, we want to use such an unconscious behavior to transfer the focus of the subject, so as to alleviate the anxiety and anxiety caused by the temperature measurement process. We use the principle of convex lens imaging to project the temperature on the arm of the hand. This not only fits the unconscious psychological behavior of the subjects, so that they know the current body temperature more intuitively, but also reduces the excessive attention to the thermometer and relieves the inner anxiety and uneasiness. There is a two-way interaction between the thermometer and the subject through projection. A small projection connects the subtle emotions between people in the cold winter of the epidemic.

We have designed a more intimate and aesthetic round shape, which is also more suitable for palm holding. In order to ensure that users can use the product in the most comfortable state and reduce the fatigue caused by long-term holding, we adjusted the bending range of the thermometer head. Straw plastic was chosen to replace traditional thermoplastics. With similar properties, this material is not only degradable, but also the renewable plant fiber in it makes the material present a more gentle feeling.
