In mid-February 2022, there was an interview with a large company. The interviewer asked me what my advantages were. It was the first time I heard this question at that time. The place where I was nervous and stuck was the description and analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of this multifunctional flatbed truck. In order not to make mistakes next time, I recalled all the main improvements and innovations of this design and summarized the following paragraphs.
The design time is in the summer of 2019. The main design goal of this design is to simplify the product assembly steps and reduce the production cost while improving the use function and performance of the product.
1. The number of plastic assembly parts in the main functional area has been reduced from more than 4 pieces to 1 piece now, which reduces the assembly cost and makes the original severely split functional area have a large complete functional area, thus improving the performance on the basis of satisfying the functions.
2. The steel pipe in the grip area has also changed from 8 bends to 4 bends, thus reducing the process cost.
3. The length of the grip area is widened, and the buckle is also changed from the side to the middle crossbar, so that the hand can better grasp and improve the use function.
4. The folding method is one-key folding, which reduces the folding conversion steps, from the previous 3 steps to the current one-step
In short, this is a design that focuses on functions and does not consider the cool appearance.

In the end, the interview failed. I also hope that all industrial designers will resume the product description in time and the regulations will be clear. Don't make my mistake and lead to lost opportunities. Lost his position. At the same time, I wish all industrial designers a good job.
