KOHLER is a world-renowned kitchen and bathroom brand, especially its kitchen and bathroom products are world-renowned. In the past 122 years, its design can often be seen in combination with art, such as early products that were included in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or products launched in cooperation with artists, etc. This project is mainly to present this exhibition hall as an art gallery. It is also refreshing through the combination of space and products, focusing more on the design essence of the brand itself, and also stimulating people's interest and curiosity about the story and brand spirit behind KOHLER. This commercial space is close to one of the most prosperous streets in Taipei. KEC is surrounded by huge and transparent floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides. After analyzing the surrounding traffic flow and light exposure, we confirm the relationship between the window surface and the products, arrange appropriate priorities and optimize the appearance of the space. The designer reuses the new design concept of "art and reading", because KOHLER means an elegant way of life, we hope that the space can be read like a book, so the designer draws inspiration from the curve of the book, using wood, steel, terrazzo and fiberglass materials to create an interesting space element, creating a white, pure and artistic beauty environment, and by blurring the inner boundaries of the space, it is expressed in four artistic forms: pure art, installation art, life art and real life, to increase the interaction with visiting guests.
