The original design has a knob controller for mode change and volume adjustment. Relatively speaking, it prefers the original design, is closer to the retro adjustment, and is simpler and clearer in use. The final product control panel design appears electronic instead. This may be the contradictory trade-off problem that plagues the "millennium" of industrial design.
