In 2023, the white paper on Chinese men's appearance pointed out that the male beauty economy has entered an era of awakening. The ideal of male appearance is affected by the comprehensive influence of personal aesthetic and social environment. The difference of attitude and acceptance of appearance management makes the concept of male appearance become more and more diversified, which gives birth to more diversified needs.
Following the cooperation of Xiaoshi Hair Dryer in the 2022 iF Design Award, ShowSee Xiaoshi put forward the need to create a shaver for Z-generation male users in TOALL convex and concave design.
Market research and user analysis
Through market research, the convex and concave team found that the low-end products of the razor category are mainly shaped by simple column pulling, while the middle and high-end products are more concerned with the man-machine holding relationship, and there will be more curves and the application of fading surfaces, which will be more complicated visually. The new model of Xiaoshi needs to continue the design language of Xiaoshi razor while considering the comfort of holding, and integrate the power of science and technology into the beautiful and concise appearance.
According to the data collection of the Internet, as well as the actual experience and brainstorming of the team members, the convex and concave design team analyzed and sorted out the usage path of the automatic shaver, and drew the product usage path map and the pain point distribution table. Through the blessing of design and technology, it is not only necessary to convert the shock of the shaver into the function of massage and washing face, but also to increase the active cooling function of the knife net to relieve the redness and itching after shaving. The knife net has suction power, which can suck beard into the knife net and shave easily. It also adds flash charging and charging tips that can meet the needs of quickly completing a shaving. Users can feel the humanized care of the product during use.
Through the research on the target users and the design divergence of product stories and styles, the convex and concave design team drew a typical target user portrait for Xiaoshi's new razor products, and together with Xiaoshi team, selected the category with hard core attitude, and confirmed the final product style-highlighting the speed, strength and impact of shaving faster, and creating a hard core razor specially belonging to tough guys and fierce men.
Appearance modeling
ShowSee Xiaoshi's new F309 shaver takes diamond as its modeling concept, with neat and concise front lines, high-end diamond segmentation, better diamond bevel grip, and diamond Ryukyu mirror patent appearance created by vacuum electroplating process, shining with star-like beauty;
On the back, imported UV hand-felt paint is used, which is skin-friendly and delicate. It not only fits the palm with radian shape, but also helps to hold the upper part and the lower part. It also gives the body a waist-closing curve, which is extremely beautiful.
