In the fast-paced contemporary life, people are increasingly eager for a kind of life utensils that can accompany daily life and place emotions. Instead of short and intense sensory stimulation, we pay more attention to those gentle forces that can exist in space for a long time. Therefore, we try to use the "knot" in Eastern culture as a starting point to design a fragrance utensils about companionship and connection. It is not only a non-fire aromatherapy, but also a tied emotion.
Chinese people always have some special feelings for "knot. From tying the rope to keeping records, to tying the hair as husband and wife; From festivals to peace and concentric knots. A simple knot carries the care, blessing and companionship between people. We hope to translate this oriental sentiment into a contemporary artifact. So there is a "concentric knot without fire aromatherapy 」. With rope as the lead and porcelain as the device, the fragrance becomes the medium connecting people and space, people and emotions.

Rather than pursuing fleeting sensory stimulation, we are drawn to the quiet presence of things that gently accompany us over time. Inspired by the symbolism of the Chinese knot, we set out to create a fragrance object that embodies connection, companionship, and emotional warmth. More than a diffuser, it is a vessel for meaningful moments.
In Chinese culture, knots have long carried special significance. From ancient knot-tying used to record memories, to wedding traditions symbolizing lifelong commitment, knots have represented blessings, connection, and togetherness for centuries. A simple knot can hold emotions that words often cannot express.With this idea in mind, we created the Harmony Knot Aroma Diffuser.
Using rope as the medium and porcelain as the vessel, the design transforms fragrance into an invisible thread connecting people, spaces, and emotions.

The shape of the body is inspired by the posture of flowers growing towards the sun. The flower mouth stretches upward at 45 °, simulating the angle at which the plant grows naturally when it faces the sun. Different from the blooming publicity, this slightly upward arc is more like a restrained and gentle vitality. The body adopts simple and pure cylindrical outline, which weakens the visual burden brought by the complex decoration of traditional aromatherapy products, and makes the whole show a quieter and modern temperament. In the center of the flower mouth, a hand-woven knot becomes the visual core of the whole design. It is both a medium for incense expansion and a cultural symbol. The aroma is slowly adsorbed and released through the knot, and naturally diffuses in the flow of time.

The form is inspired by a flower reaching toward sunlight.
Its opening gently unfolds at a 45-degree angle, echoing the natural gesture of growth and vitality found in plants. Rather than expressing dramatic bloom, the upward curve conveys a quiet and restrained sense of life.
The cylindrical body remains clean and minimal, removing unnecessary ornamentation to create a calm and contemporary presence.
At the center of the flower-shaped opening rests a handwoven knot, serving both as the diffuser medium and as the emotional centerpiece of the design. Absorbing fragrance and releasing it gradually over time, it allows scent to disperse naturally and gently throughout the space.

In order to present a gentle and restrained touch, we choose Dehua white porcelain as the main material. Dehua porcelain has a delicate and soft jade luster, which can present a quiet and advanced texture in modern space. In the design process, we conducted multiple rounds of sketch refinement and sample verification around the ratio of the flower mouth, the curvature of the arc, the center of gravity of the body and the scale of the knot. From hand-drawn sketches to 3D modeling to glaze and color testing, every adjustment revolves around the same goal: to bring the object back to life itself.

To achieve a warm and refined tactile experience, Dehua porcelain was selected as the primary material. Known for its jade-like translucency and soft luster, Dehua porcelain offers a timeless elegance that complements modern interiors. Throughout the development process, extensive studies were conducted on the flower opening, curvature, proportions, center of gravity, and the scale of the woven knot. From initial sketches and 3D modeling to glaze experiments and color evaluations, every refinement was guided by a single intention: To create an object that feels naturally at home in everyday life.

Traditional incense products tend to emphasize the concentration of aroma. And we pay more attention to the relationship between aroma and space. After the knot absorbs the fragrance, it is slowly released with the air flow. The aroma does not appear suddenly, but is gradually perceived in time. Like light falling into the room, like the wind blowing curtains. Don't interrupt life, but always accompany them.

While conventional fragrance diffusers often emphasize intensity, this project focuses on the relationship between scent and space. Once infused with fragrance, the woven knot releases aroma gradually through natural airflow. The scent does not announce itself immediately. Instead, it reveals itself slowly over time-like sunlight entering a room or a curtain moving gently in the breeze. Never intrusive, yet always present.

We believe that good design doesn't just solve functional problems. It should also respond to emotional needs. Concordant knot without fire aromatherapy carries more than just fragrance. It is a tender expression of companionship, connection and time. May this wisp of fragrance slowly disperse, for people to tie the miss, reunion and daily life of the tiny happiness.
