This stool came into being as one of the "HE" series of works. In the early stage of development, I went to a village in Daoming Town, Sichuan Province to study bamboo weaving technology, an intangible cultural heritage technology, from local craftsmanship, and draw design inspiration from it. During the design process, I initially used paper strips to simulate bamboo strips for designing models. After in-depth discussions with skilled craftsmen, I finally decided on the design plan. This stool is made of fresh, unique texture and highly flexible flexible bamboo, ensuring excellent aesthetics and performance.
