Q: Do you have any interesting things between your company and Party A at ordinary times? Will it appear that Party A's father asked you to be a colorful black as described by the online jokes?

I'll just make one comment. Receiving an order is a process in which both parties choose each other. It does not mean that you have quoted the price to the customer. If the customer feels acceptable, you must start cooperation. Customers find you, on behalf of their recognition of your design ability. As a designer, you should know all aspects of the customer's information, including the company's background, business status, the identity of the person who communicates with you, and so on. After a comprehensive understanding of this information, combined with the customer's description of product requirements, combined with their own ability and time to comprehensively judge whether to take this order. This can greatly reduce the risk of later stage and avoid the dilemma of colorful black.

Q: Are customers looking for you now for your design style?

Yes, I have basically seen my design works and will contact me only if I like my style. My design style is biased towards Japan, so Party A focuses on household products and cultural and creative products.

Q: It's really hard to take design as a task. I can't enjoy the fun of design. I always feel like driving ducks on the shelves. Just to complete the task, it seems that designers still need to adjust their mentality!

Yes, when you receive a design task, you can't just think about completing the task, but slowly enjoy the process and pour your emotions into it. I have also had the experience of Party A repeatedly requesting revision, but every time I regard it as an experience. Listen patiently to each other's opinions and see if you are really not doing well enough in some places.

Q: The sense of accomplishment and happiness came out at once. Do you think this is very important?

Yes, I think product designers can get a greater sense of accomplishment and satisfaction than ordinary graphic designs or painters. When you look at the products you have worked so hard to design finally come out, and many consumers use your products, you will feel that it is worthwhile to live in this world. You have also left your own symbol for the world.

Q: Is it quite happy to be able to do what you love and what you like?.

Yes, a person can find something he loves in his life, and I think he has succeeded in 50%. As for the rest of the 50%, we must rely on our own efforts to fight for it slowly!

Q: Envy, can focus on one thing! Can I talk about my current state of life? My current state of life is quite impetuous. I have always wanted to calm down and learn something, but I have not succeeded every time. There are too many temptations from the outside world. Do you have any suggestions?

Or start with your point of interest and keep asking yourself if you have achieved your desired goal? Create a positive feedback for yourself. For example, when you complete a set goal, you will get the corresponding satisfaction, which will inspire you to challenge the next goal, thus forming an infinite cycle.

In my personal example, when I first started working, because I knew nothing about industrial design, I spent about 6 hours a day reading online tutorials and related books. And from time to time, set yourself some imaginary design themes to do exercises. Note that I also had a regular job during that time, and these things were done when I went home after work.

In my opinion, many people just lack a starting point, doing 60-point passing work every day, so that many years later, they found that they didn't have a design work that they could handle. For such a situation, I would like to say that when you work in the company, it is always difficult for you to give full play to your 100% design ability and talent. Your work is subject to many factors such as boss, customers, colleagues, budget, etc., while your own creation at home is different. You can be unconstrained and open your brain. In my opinion, it is these whimsical people who can make the real progress of the design circle, so every designer should have his own creative time to give full play to your real design talents. Once your work is favored by others, it will be of great benefit to your self-building, and your self-confidence will grow a lot. When the time comes, you will not deliberately urge yourself to immerse yourself in the happiness of design unconsciously every day.

Q: Puxiang now has its own design college. Every winter and summer vacation, it recruits some students and conducts systematic training for them. Moreover, in this period, many students have also transferred to other majors to study industrial design. For example, there are students who have transferred from the physics department. What do you think of our Puxiang Design College and the current domestic industrial design environment?

I think the overall domestic industrial design environment is on the rise. Compared with many graduates who chose to switch to graphic or UI design after graduation in previous years, talents have emerged in the industrial design circle in recent years. With the continuous development of China's economy, people's spiritual desire and artistic appreciation ability will become stronger and stronger. Now the light bulb should not only be able to illuminate, but also create atmosphere and matching space. The water cup is not only used to hold water, but also a decoration or artwork. There is also the emerging trend of AI and robots. There is no doubt that industrial design must be a hot industry in the coming years. I think it also provides a good channel and platform for domestic talents who want to join this field.
