Before the start of the project, we carried out a comprehensive survey on the "small back shell display" market, and found that this category accurately filled the gap in the low-end market-by optimizing the cost structure to achieve lower cost, combined with narrow border and light screen design, so that consumers can obtain high-quality display experience at a more competitive price. At the same time, the research reveals that the existing market homogenization is serious, and the design language of excessive pursuit of visual tension leads to the industry falling into a vicious circle of low-price competition. Based on this, through the reconstruction of product modeling language, we focus on three core value propositions: "calm visual expression, excellent quality control, subversive cost performance" to help customers break through the market dilemma.
Prior to project initiation, we conducted comprehensive market research on "compact rear-shell monitors", identifying their strategic positioning in addressing gaps within the mid-to-low-end market segment. By optimizing cost structures for affordability while incorporating slim bezels and lightweight screen designs, these products deliver premium display experiences at competitive price points. Our findings also revealed severe market homogenization, where overly aggressive aesthetic elements have perpetuated a vicious cycle of price-driven competition.
To counter this, we redefined the product's design language with three core value propositions: "understated visual sophistication, uncompromising quality assurance, and disruptive cost-performance ratios." This approach empowers clients to break through market constraints by refocusing on substantive product advantages.
