Four slots are engraved on the edge of the plate-two slots are used for the diner to place the tableware steadily during the meal, and the other two slots are used for the tableware to indicate that the tableware is completed. These two sets of slots locate different positions of the tableware according to two different scenes, which is very important for dining etiquette.
