Essential Sculpture

This case is located in Taichung, with an indoor space of about 130 square meters. The residents are a couple and three children. Due to the habit of reading foreign design magazines for many years, the owner of the house likes to appreciate the most primitive texture of the material itself, hoping to create the dream art home style in a simple and unique form. Therefore, it has spent many years looking for designers with suitable ideas. Therefore, the core of the design of this case is to turn the owner's past life experience and aesthetic taste into a design vocabulary, and from an artistic thinking and perspective, to embody aesthetics in every corner of the home, and to design a unique appearance. In order to interpret the purest and simple aesthetics of art, a promenade is pulled out from the entrance to reduce the redundant compartment shielding, increase the flow of light and air, and distinguish the hidden and public nature of the inner and outer fields by implanting semi-blocking suspended masses. It also conveys the continuation of the depth of field, brings out the change between light and shadow and the original material, and echoes the most essential beauty of nature. In order to present the simplicity of the material itself, the outline of the space is created in a gray tone, and the natural beauty is reproduced again with mottled and rusted steel bars, slightly rough original slab cement walls and waste recycled materials, like through the craftsman's stroke-by-stroke axe chisel marks, painted with walls, creating a unique TV main wall, redefining the natural combination of handmade art and natural texture, the seemingly ordinary abandoned steel has become a wall bookshelf like a sculpture under ingenuity, while the old fire water pipe on the ceiling has transformed into a work of art, strengthening the three-dimensional level with irregular trends and heights. By returning to the basic appearance of the material, the designer outlines the characteristics of the essential aesthetics "ordinary but beautiful".
