Engaged in many years of design work, I have designed a lot of transportation tools, some for adults and children, but that is all work. One day in 2020, when I took part in the design competition, I had a whim. I used my years of experience in designing short-distance transportation tools to design a car for my parents (I didn't design it according to the competition requirements at all, and of course I didn't win a prize). I defined the function, appearance, technology and usage, redesigned the folding method, and designed it according to the standards that can be produced. Finally, I found that the car seems more suitable for young people to buy food......

Design ideas:
① extreme folding, lightweight design. The whole vehicle can be folded to a very small extent, with the stability of the tricycle, the comfort of the electric motorcycle, and the portability of the scooter. Parents can ride it in the vegetable market to move around, effortlessly.
② a variety of accessories, multi-scene use. A seat can be added to the rear (it is recommended to stand, now it seems that the center of gravity is unstable), and two shopping baskets can be added, with chickens on the left and ducks on the right. It is more convenient to buy rice and vegetables to transport children.
③ Fashion appearance. I once rendered a red version, but found this green version more environmentally friendly. (I was still young at that time and only wanted to draw a cool look I liked) Maybe the old man also had a locomotive dream.
④ cheap, easy production and maintenance. The circuit and power parts of the whole vehicle are concentrated in the front part to avoid line problems due to folding, which is very easy to realize. The frame uses a large number of profiles and can be produced by bending and cutting, with low mold opening cost. Cheap! Cheap! Cost performance is the most important thing for the elderly!
Although the competition didn't win the prize and couldn't sell it, it was actually very interesting as an attempt to create a new product. I shared my experience with everyone and used design to make our life better and more interesting.
