Description of works (general description):
The work comes from the thinking of jewelry between virtual space and real space, and reflects the participants' encroachment of virtual space and real space through the form of Monopoly card game. Monopoly Game is also known as Monopoly. In 1904, Elizabeth Maggie was inspired by the economist Henry George's book "Progress and Poverty". Game players forced their opponents to lose their money by buying land and collecting rent, and won the final victory. Through the logic of the game, a new idea of the creation logic of jewelry is developed. When the wearing behavior of jewelry moves from the jewelry game on the table to the screen and to the city, the real and the virtual constitute a larger space and scale of jewelry. The work constructs an infinite virtual space, which is not only a physical structure at the physical level, but a relationship built by people in the virtual space.
Chen Guannan always insists on the design practice with texture (real material and real feeling) to run through the whole "jewelry design research in the virtual media era". The series of works "Return to the New World" consists of four units. Each unit is not only an independent work of four parallel self-talk, but also a whole work that can be like works 4. Work 1.2.3. Through stacking into one piece. The game console becomes the connector between virtual and real here, allowing a game to lead to a new world where virtual and real are mixed. There are distorted walls, penetrating floors... the wrong construction of intentional digital algorithms, and a piece of virtual entities that originate from life but are different from reality, and the shape is grotesque and meaningful, which can build a virtual and real that can travel through time and space and a continuous cycle. The language switching of the works is rich and changeable, with the courage to explore and the spirit of experiment. In addition to the exploration of the concept of virtual media creation, the most moving part of this series lies in the jewelry used as "props" in the video and the buildings of "scenes", where every object makes people happy.
