UNAIDS was established in 1996 and plans to end AIDS with a 30-year goal. For 25 years, we have been working hard for the rights and future well-being of infected people. However, prejudice, discrimination and widespread inequality are still the main obstacles to ending AIDS for all mankind.
It is a great honor for us to be invited to design logo and poster for the 25th anniversary of UNAIDS. As a designer, speak for the planning department. The theme comes from the ancient Chinese "Book of Songs" and "Xunzi"-the road is long and long, and the line is coming. It shows the courage and determination to work hard for a long time until the end. We only use a poster, horizontal and vertical posting forms, which are adapted to the two communication scenes in English and Chinese respectively, but express the same semantics. The distinctive red ribbon element is a clever connection between the English "ROAD AHEAD IS (LONG) AND HARD" and the Chinese "Road is blocked and (long). This is a very interesting graphic experiment. It is intended to break the language barrier, connect various forces in the long road of fighting AIDS, and trigger a good dialogue between society and AIDS groups.
