Lightbody01 is less a singular design object than a snapshot of interacting forces during the glass blowing process. The basic elements of the pendant luminaire are placed in a geometrical field of tension and generate a process of deformation caused by different material properties. The light source serves as the static support for the lampshade. The usual fragility of the light source is canceled by the balance of power between the individual elements. By its function as a static support it causes the inner deformation of the lampshade and thereby materializes itself: The light cone.
