Heritage architecture is an important part of urban charm. This is especially true for the old prison building, where the goal is to transform this heritage building into a specialty cafe, taking into account its local environment and focusing on conservation, preservation and green. The Old Prison Building received the first GreenRE Silver certified re-use building in Kedah, Malaysia in 2016, and was awarded the World Silver Award in the Heritage Category of the FIABCI World Award for Excellence in 2019.
