# "Star scale" rotatable electric competition atmosphere floor lamp

## Design Philosophy Explanation

### 1. Design Overview

This work "Xingheng" is a rotatable RGB atmosphere floor lamp for e-sports and trendy desktop space. With mechanical balance and star-track interlacing as the visual core, the rotatable structure of the cross combination of three luminous tubes is adopted, taking into account the space atmosphere lighting, scene light and shadow shaping and dynamic interactive experience, and creating artistic lighting products with both sculpture and playability for the electric competition room, the tide play display area and the live broadcast space.

### 2. Design Background and User Analysis

#### 2.1 Design Background

With the rise of e-sports culture, home live broadcast and tide play display scenes, most of the traditional atmosphere lights are fixed shapes and lack dynamic changes. Ordinary RGB light bar can only realize static color change and lacks interactive physical structure. Young users are no longer satisfied with the simple light supplement, but also pursue the artistic sense of the product itself and the dynamic structure that can be played. They hope that lamps and lanterns can adjust the light and shadow direction according to the use requirements and become spatial visual ornaments at the same time.

#### 2.2 Target User

Core crowd: e-sports players, game anchors, fashion game collectors, young people who like the minimalist style of Cybersports.

#### 2.3 User Demand Analysis

1. Atmosphere demand: RGB colorful dynamic light and shadow, contrast electric competition space cyberspace atmosphere feeling;
2. Interactive requirements: the structure can be rotated and adjusted, the angle of the lamp tube can be adjusted freely, and the direction of light and shadow projection can be changed;
3. Aesthetic needs: the lamp itself is a space sculpture, and it also has a minimalist artistic sense of installation when the lamp is turned off;
4. Functional requirements: multi-directional light, can take into account the ambient diffuse atmosphere light, local fill light.

### 3. design inspiration and concept deduction

Inspired by the **celestial orbit and balance device**. The stars in the universe are orbited in a staggered manner to maintain dynamic balance; the star orbit is transformed into three linear luminous tubes, with the central column as the rotating fulcrum to simulate the state of the stars orbiting.
"Star" represents the brilliant and colorful light and shadow like starlight, "balance" represents the mechanical balance of the structure, and the lamp tube can rotate freely and stay at any angle stably. Break the static form of the fixed lamps, so that the lamps can be adjusted with the user, forming a ever-changing cross composition.
