TAKIVIVA is an innovative, residential conference facility designed to use bonfires to promote innovation in organizations. At a time when the essence and the importance of authentic communication is revisited, it becomes a place where discoveries and future possibilities are created through encounters between people. Unlike a city conference room, a TAKIVIVA is a facility for a conversation around a flame, in a pristine state. In a clever fusion of urban and natural functions of the space, to create people's creative psychological state. The building is a major renovation of a 33-year-old concrete resort at the foot of Mount Asama. By combining the four elements of architecture, interior, design and art, we aim to create a beautiful space that can reawaken the visitor's consciousness. In the urbanized concrete architectural form, warm oak furniture is incorporated, which can also be used as fuel. The design makes the space closer to the hand, the more warm it can feel. With the increase of the distance from the building space, the psychological feeling gradually calms down, creating a design with controllable temperature feeling.
Various places in the facility are arranged with points that use flames to establish relationships with each other, while the sleeping area forms a space suitable for introspection by lowering the ceiling and darkening the lighting. In the space of dynamic and static, it can stimulate the creativity that is difficult to produce at ordinary times, and deepen these ideas. The furniture is designed to be outdoor, easy to move, multi-seated and convertible, creating a mechanism that brings people of all identities together and promotes communication.
